PLANET Technology awarded �CG6005: Corporate Governance System Evaluation Certification�

PLANET Technology Corporation, the global leading IP-based networking company, announced its newly awarded �CG6005: Corporate Governance Systems Evaluation Certification� from Corporate Governance Association in Taiwan. This is the second consecutive year for PLANET to achieve this honour since winning the �CG6004: Corporate Governance Systems Evaluation Certification� in 2008.

�Corporate governance� is a mechanism for managing enterprises to fulfill the management responsibilities while protecting the legitimate rights and interests of shareholders. Corporate Governance Association in Taiwan created 80 indicators under the following 6 criteria to evaluate the corporate governance of listed companies in Taiwan.

� Assuring the rights and interests of shareholder
� Enhancing transparency of company information disclosure
� Effective management of the board
� Disciplines and communication of management team
� Emphasizing the balance of rights and obligations among interest parties

The evaluation has set up high standards of corporate governance, which will serve as a major benchmark not only to keep the best of listed companies based in Taiwan but also to enhance the positive image of the Taiwan enterprises in the global economic.
